A C5 to C7 Radiator Fan adapter harness

C5 Corvette owners looking for better cooling performance just got some exciting news. Luis Gigliotti Racing has announced a new plug-and-play harness and control box that allows the powerful C7 brushless cooling fan to be fully controlled by the factory C5 ECU — no complicated wiring, sensors, or PWM boxes required.

For years, C6 owners have been able to retrofit the 600-watt C7 fan assembly for improved cooling, while C5 owners were left with more complicated workarounds. According to Luis Gigliotti, adapting the fan to the C5 platform traditionally required “an act of Congress” — extra temp sensors, standalone control boxes, and hours of custom wiring.

That changes this fall. Working with Matt Peterson on wiring diagrams and Alex Tambert on circuit board design, Gigliotti has developed a solution that uses the C5’s native three-step fan control (low, medium, high) to operate the C7 brushless fan exactly as GM intended. The result is a clean, factory-style integration that bolts right in.

Key Details

  • Harness + control unit: $650 (estimated)

  • C7 fan assembly: $450–600 new, or cheaper if sourced used

  • Availability: Early Fall 2025

  • Compatibility: Works with stock C5 radiators (brackets available), as well as aftermarket radiators

Beyond ease of installation, the C7 brushless fan also offers packaging advantages. It’s more compact than the stock dual-fan setup, making it easier to fit in tight spaces while moving significantly more air for better cooling on and off the track.

This new kit is expected to be especially appealing to track-day and high-performance C5 owners who need extra cooling capacity without adding complexity.
